The Assistant Secretary Europe Trade UK and Ireland Branch from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia visited Spain
On September 25th, the Australian Embassy in Spain organized a working luncheon with Dougal McInnes, Assistant Secretary Europe Trade UK and Ireland Branch from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia.
The lunch was also attended by the Australian Ambassador in Spain, Julie-Ann Guivarra, and the Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner to France and Spain, Jennifer Mackinlay; as well as representatives from different Spanish and Australian companies, some of them members of the SACF Board.
The Director of the Council Foundation, Vega Yubero, also attended to this lunch. It was a great opportunity to discuss about the economic and political situation of Spain, the economic impact of the Brexit in the European Union and in Spain. There was also time to share the perspectives and experiences of the companies in both countries, as well as the most prominent issues surrounding the upcoming Free Trade Agreement between Australia and the EU.
