During the 2025-26 season, the Foundation implemented 38 projects across seven countries in the region, combining sport, education, health and child protection
The Real Madrid Foundation consolidated its social and sports activities across the Asia-Pacific region during the 2025-26 season, implementing 38 projects in Australia, Bhutan, Cambodia, the Philippines, India, Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China, reaching a total of 3,204 children and young people.
Australia was part of this regional strategy, which uses sport as a tool to support the comprehensive development of children and young people. The Foundation’s programmes combine sports activities with educational and social initiatives tailored to the needs of each local community and context.
Throughout the season, the Real Madrid Foundation placed particular emphasis on the training of coaches, child protection and the creation of safe environments. These areas of work were complemented by initiatives focusing on nutrition, emotional wellbeing, educational support, healthcare and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
The Foundation’s work in the region also enabled it to expand its programmes and establish new partnerships with local organisations, educational institutions and companies. In the Philippines, for example, a new social and sports school was launched in Batangas in partnership with NGO Share, while in Cambodia the wheelchair basketball programme was strengthened. India and Indonesia also introduced initiatives addressing nutrition, educational support, mental health and women’s empowerment.
The Real Madrid Foundation’s approach is based on a comprehensive understanding of sport that goes beyond physical activity to address personal development, education and social inclusion. This model is adapted to the circumstances of each territory and implemented in collaboration with local partners.
The Real Madrid Foundation’s presence in Australia forms part of a broader cooperation strategy that contributes to strengthening ties between Spain and the Asia-Pacific region through sport, education and social action. These projects highlight the potential of sport as a platform for creating opportunities, promoting values and fostering inclusion among children and young people.
