ICEX brings Spanish interior design companies to Australia

Nine companies participated in the exhibition "A journey into Spain's Design Spaces", held in Sydney

ICEX Spain Export and Investment, together with the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in Sydney, and in collaboration with The Arc Agency, organized the exhibition "A Journey into Spain's Design Space," aimed at the contract sector in Australia.

Under the "Interiors from Spain" brand, nine Spanish companies showcased their products at The Collider in Sydney. These companies—Actiu, Cosentino, Frontek, Kriskadecor, LZF Lamps, Olé Lighting, Porcelanosa, Resol, and Sancal—represented the furniture, lighting, flooring, ceramic wall and floor coverings, and decorative accessories sectors. The exhibition was geared towards Australian architecture firms, specifiers, and interior designers.

The event was attended by the Spanish Ambassador to Australia, Esther Monterrubio Villar, as well as prominent figures from the Australian design scene. They shared their perspectives on the evolution of the sector and the enduring role of materials in contemporary interiors. The exhibition offered Australian professionals a sensory experience that reflected Spanish brands' commitment to functionality, versatility, aesthetics, and sustainability.

According to ICEX, Australia is a strategic market for European design and innovation. In 2024, it imported over €4 billion in furniture and €420 million in ceramics. In the contract sector, ICEX notes, Spain is consolidating its position as a global benchmark for quality, innovation, and style.
