Four journalists specialising in different areas will participate in this year’s edition between November 6 and 11
The second edition of the Australian Leaders Programme will include four Australian journalists specialising in different areas, who will visit Spain to gain a greater understanding of the market, forging links with the country itself and building a valuable contact network.
This year’s edition will take place from November 6 to 11 in Madrid, Zaragoza, Pamplona and San Sebastián. The Australian participants will have the chance to visit the offices of some of the patrons of the Spain Australia Council Foundation, as well as other Spanish companies and institutions with operations in Australia.
The agenda includes business and technical visits to Airbus, Inditex’s logistics hub and ACCIONA’s Vedadillo Experimental Area, meetings with journalists and experts in international politics, including one at Elcano Royal Institute, and tourism and gastronomy-based visits, including one to the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastián.
The participants in the II Australian Leaders Programme are:
- Giles Parkinson, a financial journalist specialising in environmental policy and renewable energies, and founder of RenewEconomy.
- Paul Kelly, an expert in politics, government and international affairs and Editor-at-Large at The Australian.
- Ute Junker, a TV producer and travel journalist at Traveller.com.au.
- Laurel Papworth, a social media expert and influencer.
